Governance

Skripta operates under a structured governance framework ensuring institutional integrity, legal compliance, and total editorial autonomy across all publishing activities.

Ownership & Legal Status

Skripta is an independent scholarly publishing organization legally registered in the European Union as Skripta s.r.o. (Prague, Czech Republic). Actively publishing scientific journals since 2012, the publisher operates in strict adherence to European publishing conventions, open scholarship mandates, and international research ethics standards.

Editorial Independence Charter

Skripta affirms the unequivocal principle of editorial independence. Commercial operations, sponsorship, journal fees, or publisher management have no influence over editorial decisions regarding manuscript acceptance, revisions, or rejections.

  • Decision Autonomy: Editors-in-Chief hold complete and final authority over the intellectual content, peer review standards, and publication timing of their respective journals.
  • Separation of Commercial Functions: Operational, financial, and marketing teams operate independently of editorial review committees and have no access to confidential reviewer deliberations.
  • Conflict Resolution: In cases of contested editorial decisions or appeals, matters are handled through independent Ombudsperson and COPE-aligned procedures.

Governance Structure & Leadership

The publisher’s governance is organized into three distinct tiers of responsibility:

Executive Directorate

Responsible for publisher infrastructure, technical systems, financial sustainability, legal compliance, and strategic dissemination partnerships.

Leadership appointments confirmed upon client sign-off.

Scientific Advisory Council

An independent consultative body of international scholars providing guidance on publishing ethics, discipline expansion, peer review best practices, and scientific direction.

Journal Editorial Boards

Headed by appointed Editors-in-Chief, comprising section editors and peer reviewers who manage journal-specific evaluations according to the published scope and review policy. EOJNSS currently uses single-blind review.

Board composition published individually on each journal OJS site.

Institutional Affiliations Policy

In accordance with anti-predatory publishing standards and indexation guidelines, Skripta publishes academic affiliations, memberships, and indexation records strictly upon verifiable confirmation. No external institutional logos, indexing badges, or council memberships are displayed without formal registry links and documented accreditation.
